Features of Google Docs/Sheets/slides
Google Docs:
Google Docs is similar to many word processors but also has some very beneficial features. Any work that is done in Google Docs is automatically saved online so there's no need to worry about saving your work. Any work can be accessed anytime, from any device and from any location. Collaborating with others has never been easier as you can "share" a document and up to 50 people can edit a document which can be very helpful for school documents such as subject department plans or policies with multiple users. One of the most advanced features of Google Docs is the the Hyperdoc feature where a teacher can create links to videos (or other multimedia) that the teacher has created or elsewhere so that the document can act as a home page for learning material.
Google Sheets:
Google Sheets is another online tool that allows teachers to create helpful spreadsheets for teaching such as class rolls, results records and for data analysis. Many helpful spreadsheet templates for education already exist like a teacher's gradebook which can be accessed here. As with all other Google Apps, Sheets can be shared with others with the original creator controlling whether other users can edit or just view the file.
Google Slides:
While Microsoft PowerPoint is a more powerful tool, Google Slides will easily fulfil 99% of a teacher's needs for presentations. It is a free online tool that again requires no saving and can be shared and edited by multiple users. It can be used for delivering content, creating quizzes, for students to present projects etc.
